Living Classrooms Hosts "A Night at The Yards" October 19, 2012

Living Classrooms’ fifth annual fundraiser on the DC waterfront. A Night at The Yards will feature food and beverages catered by over 30 area restaurants, live music by LA-based Latin-Afro-funk-soul band Orgone, and a casual-festive waterfront ambiance. Living Classrooms will also honor DC area “Rising Stars” as young philanthropists on this evening. A Night at The Yards will raise critical funds for Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region hands-on education programming.
Living Classrooms Foundation, celebrating 27 years of serving the community, is a non-profit organization that inspires youth to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training programs, using urban, natural, and maritime settings as “living classrooms.” Living Classrooms works with over 40,000 youth and young adults throughout the region annually, including over 16,000 youth in the National Capital Region.

Over 30 of DC’s favorite restaurants and caterers will provide their signature dishes and beverages for guests. Some of those include VanGogh Vodka, KoBrands wine, Sweetwater Tavern, Matchbox, Matchbox, Ted’s Bulletin, District Chophouse, Phillips Seafood, Caddies on Cordell, and Cantina Marina.
