Liverpool Linux User Group February 4, 2009

Liverpool Linux User Group are a group of Linux and open source software users that meet on the first Wednesday of the month. Even if no speaker is available the group will generally meet in the FACT bar for drinks. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join in.

This months talk will be given by Vladimir Jakubovskij and is regarding his recent research paper "Open Source perspective: The current situation with online music piracy and the future of free music distribution". Vladimir will be discussing the topics in his paper at the talk. The paper will be published under the CC license at a later date.

This will be our first meeting at the Liverpool Social Centre on Bold Street. To gain entrance please use the side door to the front of the "News From Nowhere" shop and ring the doorbell. Someone will be quickly up to fetch you in.

The Liverpool Social Centre is offering this location on a free basis,, but they ask for a small donation of £5-£10 from the group to cover costs, so if you could bring a pound to donate it would be much appreciated.
