Her songs are thematically dark, dealing with troubling issues such as small-town angst, death, betrayal, and the pains of growing up. Yet she always finds a way to deliver her message with a comforting voice and a knowing smile. Though her latest record 'The Fire and The Flood' is lush with strings and full band, she is currently touring as an acoustic duo with Benjarvis of Oblio on bass drum and percussion to focus on the musical importance of what she describes as a 'dark groove.'
