Live Performance of Terry Riley’s In C w/ Commissioned Video Works July 13, 2012

Squeaky Wheel's Silent/Sound Film Festival is a free annual event that pairs local sound artists with a classic silent film. This time around, Silent/Sound curators Jax Deluca, Don Metz, and Brian Milbrand decided to switch things up – instead of having a sound artist compose a score for a silent film, they have invited some of Buffalo’s favorite video artists to create new works to accompany Terry Riley’s polyphonic semi-improvisational sound piece In C.

The sound piece will be performed live by Michael Colquhoun (bass flute), Jan Williams (Percussion), John Bacon (Percussion), Don Metz (Electric Guitar), and Amy Williams (Keyboard). The video artists include Patrick Cain, Tony Conrad, Andrew Deutsch, Vince Mistretta, and Scott Puccio.
