Clarinetist and saxophonist Linus Wyrsch is performing live jazz at Caribbean Soul restaurant in Brooklyn on Friday, July 22nd from 8 – 11pm.
Clarinetist and saxophonist Linus Wyrsch’s passion for jazz, Brazilian and Latin music is easily perceived with his bright, yet mellow sound and versatility. His blended elements of jazz, fusion, R&B, Brazilian and Latin American music creates a unique, contemporary playground for the sax and clarinet.

Linus studied with many renowned musicians, including Javon Jackson, Frank Tiberi, Fred Lipsius, Daniel Ian Smith, Oscar Stagnaro, Victor Mendoza, Mark Whitfield, Peter Cokkinias, Fernando Brandao, Shannon LeClaire, Mark Shilansky, Peter Wespi, Roland von Flüe, and Christa Schneider.

His repertoire includes performances with Oscar Castro-Neves, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Howard Shore, Alan Silvestri, Oscar Stagnaro, Gary Kelly, Thomas Moeckel, Kalli Gerhards, Petros Sakelliou and The BandA ecLectics, Vinzenz Kummer, Sab Charunas, Claude Diallo, James Kinney, Alex Carvalho, Rubens de La Corte, and Rafael Barata.

Linus is also the producer and host of a Jazz Radio-Show for breakthruradio.com where he has had the opportunity to interview Steve Gadd, Sue Mingus, Jojo Mayer, Fred Hersch, Jean-Michel Pilc, Dafnis Prieto and many other jazz greats.
