Jazz Guitarist Ian Duerr and Trumpeter Alejandro Berti, Jr. are performing live jazz on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Caribbean Soul Restaurant in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn from 8 – 11pm and there is no cover charge.
Ian Duerr’s unique swinging tone was cultivated by his association with acclaimed musicians Manty Ellis, Mark Davis, Robert Grimwood and Paul Silbergleight. He has received accolades all over the world, over a four-year period where he performed on cruise ships.
Jazz trumpeter Alejandro Berti, Jr. moved to the United States from his native Venezuela when he was 16 years old where he was inspired by his father, world class double bass player Alejandro Berti, Sr. Alejandro Jr. perfected his lyrical stylings and warm tones on the trumpet through two years on Carnival Cruiselines and is a much sought-after musician in the jazz scene in New York City.
Alejandro and Ian perform together regularly, but this will be their first appearance together at Caribbean Soul.
