Blue Owl, a new lounge in the East Village hosts a monthly live jazz series
on the first Sunday of every month .

At 6:00 p.m. critically acclaimed poet, writer and storyteller Alberto
Zayden will be reading from his new work "Playing with Numbers Under the
Interrogation Lamp." Celebrated by the New York Times as a poet of
"visionary" talents, he is truly not to be missed!

Following the reading at 8:00 p.m, The Ira Jackson Trio will set the mood
with classic jazz standards from artists such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis
and Ray Charles. Fronted by celebrated musician Ira Jackson, with Von Tate
on the bass, and Kenny Brawer on the keys, this classic jazz trio is back
for their second Sunday at Blue Owl.

This evening is a part of Blue Owl's monthly jazz series held the first
Sunday of every month.
