Market Common Clarendon introduces “Live It Up on the Loop!”, a fun, family event on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 2700 Clarendon Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia. From 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. there will be free activities and entertainment for all ages ‘on the loop’ in the core of the shopping center, encouraging patrons to “live it up” with a healthy lifestyle.
“Live It Up on the Loop” includes a rock climbing wall, strolling juggler, clown bike tricks, fun fitness classes, obstacle courses, and music. Especially for children, there will be a moon bounce obstacle course with a mini-rock wall, hula hoops, sidewalk chalking, glitter tattoos, and balloons from Washington Sports Club. Other retailers will also be offering inspiration for good living, including the Whole Foods healthy eating table, and mini-facials at Origins. Scheduled activities at Live It Up include a Zumba class, an obstacle course for all ages, and a Stretch class with Washington Sports Club-Clarendon, plus a charity Cut-A-Thon with NOLAS Salon. The entertainment schedule includes performances by Mr. Knick Knack at 10 AM and 1 PM, plus a DJ from 11 AM until 1 PM. And, Arlington’s Car-Free Diet booth will offer information about transit options for quality of life and health.
NOLAS Salon Cut-A-Thon for St. Jude – From 11 AM until 2 PM in the gazebo, get a haircut for $15 that will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Cash and checks only can be accepted. First come, first served. Bring family and friends to take part in this annual event for St. Jude’s, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases, and the top children’s cancer hospital in the nation.
