La Costa Theatre opens its newly renovated space with a dark comedic new twist on Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s cult classic "Little Shop of Horrors."
La Costa goes back to its Musical Roots! Don’t miss one of the must see shows of the summer!
"Little Shop of Horrors" is the tragic love story of hapless floral shop worker, Seymour Krelborn, who becomes an overnight sensation thanks to his carnivorous plant “Audrey II”. Success comes fast for the Skid Row florist until people around him start to disappear, creating a struggle between fame and the love of his life, bubbly co-worker Audrey. La Costa’s production also uniquely portrays the hardship and real truth behind Skid row’s low income inhabitants during the period, while also serving up some of the best comedic timing in the industry.
“Little Shop of Horrors” opens on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 at 7:30PM and continues through Sunday, July 11th, 2010 at La Costa Theatre, 3931 N. Elston. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 3:00PM, with no performance on the 4th of July. Tickets are $25.
