The Queen of Mean comes to Kingsbury Hall.
Dubbed by The New York Times as Comedy's "Lovable Queen of Mean," Grammy-nominated Lisa Lampanelli has drawn critical acclaim for her no-holds-barred style of insult comedy. She has been a staple closing act on the "Comedy Central Roasts" of Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, William Shatner and Flavor Flav, and is a regular guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Howard Stern Show." In 2007, her one-hour special "Dirty Girl" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. Most recently, she appeared in the feature film "Drillbit Taylor" and sold out her debut performance at Carnegie Hall. Collins Publishers recently announced a book deal with Lampanelli for THE WORLD ACCORDING TO LISA: The Queen of Mean's Guide to the Universe, which will be published in 2009.
Lisa Lampanelli will perform at Kingsbury Hall on September 19th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 25th, at 10am. They will be available at Kingsbury Hall box office, www.kingsburyhall.org, all Smith’s Tix Outlets, 467-TIXX, 1-800-888-TIXX, www.smithstix.com. Tickets are $34.75.
