The theme for the 2009 LISA Forum Asia, to be hosted in Taipei in April 2009, is Global Design & Innovation. Building on its reputation as a leading manufacturing center, Taiwan is increasingly recognized as a leader in development and design of products sold around the world, a trend seen in mainland China and elsewhere in Asia. As Asian powerhouses expand into global brands, globalization and localization issues, along with training, expertise development, and cultural management, are emerging as critical business concerns.
