Linny Kenney December 8, 2008

Linny Kenney is a musician/artist from New Hampshire now residing in Mendocino and San Francisco, California. At a very young age she began singing after her mother said “sing that again Linny!” when she heard her singing the unicorn song from “The Last Unicorn” in the back seat of the car. Being very shy when it came to music, Linny began singing to her mom every evening from behind a wall and eventually moved into the same room, but always sang with her back to her mom and her face to the wall.

Linny received her B.A. in Music/Vocal Performance at Plymouth State University. Upon graduating, Linny was invited to study at the Neil Semer Vocal Institute in New York City and later continued study and performed Opera and Music Theatre styles in Coesfeld, Germany.

After realizing her heart was not in the Opera, Linny picked up the guitar and piano and began writing her own compositions. She has performed in various states in Eastern America, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and is now spending most of her time in California. She has joined up with her sister, Caiti, who adds beautiful, melodic harmonies with her rich, soulful voice.
