Open to actors, vocalists, musicians, (professional or not), as well as the general public, the workshop begins by using different forms of physical preparation, engaging each voice both technically and imaginatively. The group and individual explorations of breathing, movement and body alignment allow access to vocal spaces, registers and textures. Time is given to delve into lesser-known, "un-natural" areas of the voice and to explore the relationships between sound, singing, text and emotion. Through improvisation and interpretation of text and sound, each participant is encouraged to create, compose and perform. Expanding vocal range is the key to unlocking presence and expression before an audience.
