The fourth incarnation of the monthly creative meetup by the Daily City, MOOM, will be Friday, October 16, 2009 from 8am-9am at Seven Sisters Coffee. We will be holding Likemind at the same location on the same day. If you don't have projects to discuss, just sit and have a conversation like normal. It's Likemind + MOOM, not one or the other.
Likemind is before work (8AM), it happens downtown, and everyone is welcome. Bring a few friends, get some coffee, and tell us what's on your mind.
Jeff Wirth will be acting as Guest Host for the October 16th MOOM meetup. He is the creator of the Interactive Performance Lab and is very well known in the creative and improv communities in and outside Orlando.
What is MOOM? | MOOM is short for "Meeting of the Orlando Minds." TheDailyCity.com MOOM will be a place for Orlando creative movers and shakers to connect (and re-connect) with each other, to discuss details of current projects and upcoming plans, and to to share resources and build interdisciplinary collaborations that create a more robust creative community in Orlando.
Location? (must have good coffee)
In this case, Seven Sisters is still a new kid on the block, yet they have been around for a very long time in recession-days. Any little business that can last this long and still serve good coffee and cupcakes deserves our business!
Past MOOMs
August 14 at Roho Art and Coffee
July 24 at Rockn Joes Coffee
June 10 at Barnies Coffee
Please twitter about it, grow the community, talk it up, put it on your calendar, and help Orlando leave a wake on it's way sailing to the top of the world.
