Lights Camera Help, the first film festival exclusively for nonprofit and cause-driven organizations
The three-day festival will celebrate films and filmmakers with a cause, screening the best of over 130 documentaries, PSAs, shorts and feature length films to help nonprofit organizations spread the word about their cause, gain support and expand the film-for-a-cause genre. Each film will be critiqued by a panel of judges, and the winner will receive the net proceeds of the event at the Sunday night wrap party.
The Friday night screening will be held at the Southwest Key East Austin Community Center. The Saturday night screening will be at Calhoun Hall at the University of Texas at Austin. Both begin at 7 p.m. The Wrap Party will be held at The New Movement Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m.
