Last year Lighthouse teamed up with BBC Film Network to produce four short films. These outstanding new films showcase some of the best emerging filmmakers in the UK, while also featuring familiar faces such as John Henshaw, Celia Imrie and Jim Carter. Made with development support from BBC Writers Room, the films premiered at the Encounters Film Festival 2009 in Bristol. It is with great pride that we are able to bring them to Brighton for a special showcase event, including special guests and discussion with the filmmakers afterwards.The screening will be hosted by the television personality and photographer, Toby Amies, known for his work on MTV UK's Alternative Nation, FilmFour and now as the host of Lonely Planet Six Degrees.
