Lifeway Kefir Makes Hometown Pit-Stop on National Tour with the Cubs

Health-conscious families, college students, and fitness enthusiasts alike are invited to the free festivities, which will celebrate the 1980s with an awesome modern twist. Guests will be able to sample Lifeway Frozen Kefir dessert before it launches May 1st at grocery stores nationwide. In addition, Chicago based Lifeway Kefir will be serving their Lowfat Strawberry, Lowfat Blueberry, Lowfat Pomegranate, and limited edition Lowfat Birthday Cake kefir! Lifeway's custom-made "groovy" tour bus will be on site to facilitate tasting. Activities include pedaling the customized human-powered blender bikes, blending tasty Lifeway Kefir smoothies, taking a blast-from-the past, participating in digital games and enjoying Foursquare check-in prizes.

Why:
In addition to throwing this "totally rad" party to commemorate 25 years in business, Lifeway Foods will donate a total of $25,000 to Healthy Kids Challenge. For each minute volunteers and Cubs fans ride the "human-powered blender bike", Lifeway will donate a dollar to children's charities. Of this money, up to $5,000 will be donated to local Chicago elementary schools Namaste Charter School and Nettlehorst Elementary School.
