The class concentrates on butterflies but also investigates other insects that make the garden their home. Participants should have a camera with the ability to focus closely on small subjects (close up or macro feature) as well as adjustable apertures and shutter speeds. Participants should already have some familiarity with their digital cameras. This workshop includes an introduction to the subject covered, technical tips, a folder of handouts, and fieldwork in the Garden with Lynda. Participants should have adjustable digital or film cameras (where you can change the aperture and shutter speed settings) with a close up or macro lens. A familiarity with F-stops and shutter speeds is helpful. A list of required equipment and suggested materials is sent after registration.
