The Noontime String Orchestra from the Levine School of Music will perform on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Jane Lang Recital Hall at the School’s NW DC Campus at 2801 Upton Street. The Noontime String Orchestra is a 20-member community adult string ensemble founded at Levine School in 1999. The group, which mostly performs Baroque music, rehearses on Fridays at noon and presents free concerts throughout the year. The ensemble has been led by Levine’s Pablo Saelzer since 2005. Selected repertoire will include Kammer-Sinfonie by Johann Christoph Pepusch and Sinfonia No. 1 in C Major by Antonio Vivaldi.
