There is clarion call resounding in America. It's a call for all women to come together and no longer be silent regarding issues plaguing our homes and communities.
Hosea 4:6 states, "My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge ...
In our communities, there are organizations, spiritual and professional counselors and those who have experiences they can share to reach out to those who are hurting, suffering and crying out for help. What better way to be a healing balm to those around us by coming together and talking about epidemics plaguing the society of today's women.
LET'S TALK Women's Forum has answered the call of impacting women with knowledge, resources and support. LET'S TALK is a Women's forum used to platform issues of women of all walks of life. They say, "Women love to talk!" So, finally there's a talk show which will release a positive message and insightful information that will yield healing, restoration and a new perspective on life.
Having experienced the challenged of striving to help someone in Domestic Violence, I know firsthand the hardship of losing someone in a murder-suicide. The statistics are increasing every day...women are dying...suffering from the bondage of a batterer and looking for a way out. There are teenagers who are in relationships with young men who do not know the signs of being a batterer...they are swept off of their feet and fall in love...and now it's seemingly too late to get out of the trap. Families of those who are victims of domestic violence and do not know what they can do to help their daughter, niece, mother or sister escape safely.
No fear, LET'S TALK Women's Forum is here. On Saturday, February 21, we will hosting our first talk show discussing Women and Domestic Violence. We will be discussing Domestic Violence Prevention, Escape and Survival. Linda Kirkpatrick, the Executive Director of Community Welcome House, a Domestic Violence home in Newnan, will be our special guest. She has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom regarding Domestic Violence.
There will be testimonies of survival, questions and answer sessions and immediate resources available for those who are victims in need of wise counsel.
So, we extend a "Special Invitation" to you. Please come be Empowered and Experience a movement that will change and transform women in our community.
LET's TALK Women's Forum is truly looking forward to women coming together every other month, from all over the Georgia area, to discuss all types of critical women issues transforming one person...one home...one community...one state...one country at a time.
