Part documentary, part film poem, Bruce Weber's 'Lets Get Lost' is a patchwork valentine to the trumpet player Chet Baker, who emerged in the '50s and died in 1988, at the age of 58, after an accidental fall from a third floor window of an Amsterdam hotel. His premature death robbed the world of an instrumentalist and vocal stylist whose breezy, fluid playing delivered a singular, unmistakable emotion.
