A unique production staged under the stars at Ohlone College Amphitheater in Fremont, Les Misérables is based on Victor Hugo's classic novel about ex-convict Jean Valjean and his attempts to start a new life as he is relentlessly pursued by policeman Javert throughout decades of tumult in revolutionary France. This blockbuster musical showcases a Tony-winning score, including such songs as: "I Dreamed a Dream," "Do You Hear the People Sing," "One Day More," "Master of the House," and "On My Own."
Featuring a cast of more than 50 students under the age of 19 from throughout the southeast Bay Area, this School Edition of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's Les Misérables is specially adapted and licensed by Music Theatre International and Cameron Mackintosh.
