Les Délices presents "Petits Violons du Roy" May 23, 2010

Les Delices is thrilled to be named Artists in Residence at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights for 2009-2010. The Herr Chapel at Plymouth is intimate and beautiful. The acoustics also happen to be gorgeous, making it a great venue for enjoying a Sunday afternoon concert! Plus, one can make an evening of it, and head over to the restaurants in nearby Shaker Square afterwards for an early dinner.

Les Delices presents a program inspired by Louis XIV's personal chamber ensemble "Les Petits Violons du Roy" featuring pairs of violins, oboes, and recorders. Regulars Scott Metcalfe (violin), Emily Walhout (viola da gamba), and Lisa Crawford (harpsichord) return alongside guests Julie Andrijeski (violin), and Kathryn Montoya (oboe and recorder). Relish the warm, subdued tones of mixed strings and winds in this program of solos, trios, and dance suites.
