Singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist Leon Russell brings back The Tulsa Sound, a musical style that originated in Tulsa, Oklahoma. An Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame inductee, Russell’s style is a mix of rockabilly, rock and roll and blues from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Russell’s solo career has spanned rock, blues and gospel. A Will Rogers High School graduate, Russell played backup to Gary Lewis and the Playboys, The Byrds and Herb Alpert.
