LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago Hosts LEGO Club Weekend, Calls for Nominations of Local Child Heroes April 30, 2011

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago is set to host LEGO Club Weekend, featuring LEGO Hero Factory Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1. Open to non-members and members of the LEGO Club, the weekend of activities includes: • A “Build Your Own Hero” area to design and build your very own Hero Factory character • Speed Build Competitions challenging guests to build the Hero Factory models as fast as they can • FREE giveaway to LEGO Club members (while supplies last). Participants in LEGO Club Weekend will also be able to tell us about their favorite heroes. Submit your response so it can be shared with our LEGOLAND Discovery Center fans. Current LEGO Club members should bring in a copy of the magazine or their LEGO Club ID Card as proof of membership. Members will receive a special LEGO Club button and special discounts in retail and at the café. Anyone who wants to become a new member can sign up for free at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago to participate in the activities and receive the member incentives. Come early to see the unveiling of our two story giraffe’s new name! The ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the main entrance.
