San Diego Honors its Local Heroes
Fifth Annual
Legends Behind the Badge Gala & Awards Ceremony
San Diego CA, – The San Diego Police Historical Association along with hundreds of San Diegans will honor our local police heroes for their bravery and outstanding service within our community at the Fifth Annual Legends Behind the Badge Gala and Awards Ceremony. The Gala will take place on Thursday, May 15th, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the historic and newly renovated US Grant Hotel. This year we will also be celebrating the 119th Anniversary of the San Diego Police Department. Sponsors and attendees will have the honor of dining with local celebrities and dignitaries such as; San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, San Diego Chief of Police William Lansdowne, San Diego Sherriff Bill Kolendar and many more, all while raising vital funds. The proceeds from the evening will benefit the San Diego Police Historical Association and the San Diego Police Museum, which preserves the history of San Diego's finest and bravest police officers.
