The most amazing concert will take place on Thursday, June 26 at Sound Academy 2, when two-time Grammy award winning nearly-95 year-old pianist, Pinetop Perkins comes back to Toronto. The legendary musician received the Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2005 and just this February was awarded the Grammy in Traditional Blues for his collaborative recording with another ‘great’, David “Honeyboy”” Edwards. Pinetop turns 95 at the beginning of July and, next month releases his brand new album “Pinetop Perkins and Friends” on Telarc. ‘Friends’ include, among others, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Jimmie Vaughan, Willie ‘Big Eyes’ Smith, Bill Willis!
