"Legacy of the Tiger Mother" featuring Broadway Actress September 7, 2012

"LEGACY OF THE TIGER MOTHER" RUNS FROM 9/7-9/15With songs like "White Children are Lazy" and lyrics like "We are Chinese, we do as we please," this musical comedy isn’t afraid to step on some toes. “Tiger mother” Lily, ferociously dedicates herself to demanding the best from her American-borne daughter Mei. When Mei has a daughter of her own and Lily tries to foist the Old World ways on her granddaughter -- tiger mom and cub go at it. Chan based the story on her own struggle between East and West – with a personal take that’s both compassionate and hilarious.


"Legacy of the Tiger Mother" features an impressive cast. Satomi Hofmann is taking a two week vacation from performing in the Broadway production of "Phantom of the Opera" (she's been with the show for 3 1/2 years) so she can appear in "Legacy" at the Fringe. Lynn Craig, has been in the national touring company of "Cats" and currently lives and performs in New York. The composer, Angela Chan, has played piano in the pit band for quite a few national tours.
