In his book “The End of Overeating: Taking Control of the Insatiable American Appetite,” Dr. David Kessler examines the reasons for the ever-growing problem of obesity in America, explaining the role that food conglomerates and restaurant chains play in contributing to this national health crisis. Kessler – whose experience includes serving as commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, dean of top medical schools and currently professor at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine – visits UVM to discuss next steps. His free lecture at 5:15 p.m. in Ira Allen Chapel is titled “The End of Overeating: How Does America Take Control?”
