Charles Darwin is recognized world-wide for developing and disseminating ideas on evolution and natural selection. His work as an experimental scientist is less well-known. Dr. Karen Snetselaar, Professor and Chair of Biology at Saint Joseph’s University, will describe some of his botanical experiments and their impact on future plant biologists. This lecture will be followed by a wine reception and curatorial tour of the APS Museum's exhibition, Dialogues with Darwin.
This event is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the American Philosophical Society (APS) Museum.
