Lecture: "Encouraging Seedbeds of Creativity" January 23, 2013

Eina McHugh has been the director of The Ark, a cultural center for children in Dublin,
Ireland, since 2005. In 1998 she directed the Second World Summit on Television for
Children in London. Her love of children's cultural work began in 1990 when she became
involved with Northern Ireland's inaugural children's film festival, Cinemagic, eventually
going on to direct the award winning festival and becoming deputy director of the Northern
Ireland Film Council. Her first book To Call Myself Beloved was recently published by New Island Books. She is a 2012-2013 Fulbright visiting scholar in visual and performing arts with the Lincoln Center Institute in New York.
