Maria Lind is the director of the graduate program at Bard College's Center for Curatorial Studies. Previously she was the artistic director at the International Artists Studio Program in Stockholm (IASPIS), and, before that, the director of Munich Kunstverein, where her innovative, experimental programming included a one-year-long retrospective of Christine Borland's work and a seven-day-long retrospective of Rirkrit Tiravanija's work. She curated Sweden's participation in the Bienal de Sao Paulo in 1998 and 2002, and she cocurated Manifesta 2 in Luxembourg in 1998. With Rebecca Gordon Nesbitt and Hans Ulrich Obrist she cofounded Salon 3, an independent art platform in London.
