Leave Your Mark Celebrating Downtown Escondido's Commitment to Promote Energy Efficiency September 25, 2009

Save the Date! Downtown Escondido celebrates the community’s commitment to energy conservation. The Leave Your Mark event recognizes local business and schools who partnered with the Flex Your Power campaign to gather pledge leaves from the local community. Residents of Escondido showed this commitment by signing over 1800 pledge leaves.

Leave Your Mark event will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the corner of Grand & Maple in front of Bank of Escondido located at: 200 W. Grand Ave. Some key noted speakers at the event will be: Danielle Aeling, Grant Manager with The Downtown Business Association, Mayor Lori Holt Pfelier who will give Proclamation for Energy Efficiency Month, Risa Baron from SDG& E to speak on Energy Efficiency and City of Escondido Utilities Department. Escondido City Council members: Olga Diaz, Dick Daniels and Sam Abed who will also be of attendance at this event.

There will be cash prize drawings and a chance to win energy and water efficient prizes.

Flex Your Power is a comprehensive marketing and outreach campaign targeted to rural communities. The program is funded by California utility ratepayers and administered by the California Investor Owned Utilities under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
