Experience firsthand what it is like to have a learning disability. Find out how it feels to not be able to read the words on a page and how frustrating it is to have information in your brain, but not be able to put it down on paper.

On March 7 from 6:30-8:30pm, The New Community School will host live learning differences simulations that are free and open to the public. Multiple stations will allow parents, teachers, and other professionals to experience what it is like to learn differently. This simulation is designed to increase awareness of the difficulties and frustrations that people with dyslexia encounter daily with reading, writing, and spelling

These LD simulations can go a long way in helping one to understand the emotional experience a person with learning disabilities goes through and just how hard they have to fight to succeed. However, in the right environment, dyslexic children can acquire the tools that they need to be successful.

The small class sizes, individualized instruction, and intensive remediation offered at The New Community School teaches them that it’s not that they can’t learn; it’s just that they learn differently.

Space is limited; Please RSVP: info@tncs.org or 804-266-2494
