This class is taught by Tianne Frias, whose Latin roots emerged in the early 90's as a passion for Latin dancing. Having started with Argentine Tango, her interest has now spread to all the ballroom dances, with a focus on Club-Style Salsa. Trained in ballet, modern dance, ballroom, and yoga, Tianne has taught and performed internationally. At the European Round Dance Festival, her students commented, Tianne's enthusiasm and love of dance took hold of the group and was reflected in three intense and enjoyable training sessions. As a performer, she danced nine years with the acclaimed Robert Moses' KIN, performing every home season and touring with the company nationally. Her dancing has been called both 'electrifying and vulnerable.' She performs locally with flute virtuoso Viviana Guzman and Divas Latins. In 2003, she appeared as a guest performer with Mambo Romero at the World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico. Currently, Tianne loves teaching Salsa with her partner Brian Purville, bringing her diverse knowledge of dance to every student.
