Learn to Play the Celtic Bodhran Drum March 9, 2013

An introduction to the Celtic bodhran, Saturday, 3-4:30pm. Workshop with Jeff Hanna of The Rhythm Inlet. Ready yourself for St. Patty's Day, and get your Irish groove on! Welcome all adults, motivated teens, and youth ages 10 and up w/ instructor permission. No musical experience needed. Learn how to properly swing the double-knobbed stick, called a tipper, to play exciting "jiggity jig" rhythms on the "Bao-rahn", "Boh-rahn" (both are correct), the flat, round frame drum of the British Isles. Instruments provided, available for purchase, or b.y.o.. $25
