Dragonflies and damselflies have a unique beauty and ecology all their own. Some are as colorful as butterflies, some migrate just like birds and their ancestry is more than 250 million years old. Come learn about these fascinating creatures and see them in their natural habitat at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. Learn the unique characteristics of dragonflies and damselflies, which species are commonly seen in Houston, how to find them for observation and photography and methods to attract them to your yard.
