Come to the Las Cruces Museum of Art for an amazing adventure see the Divine Comedy Suite created by the 20th centurys most famous surrealist painter, Salvador Dali. Students and other groups interested in an interpretive tour of the Dali Illustrates Dantes Divine Comedy exhibit are invited to take a guided visual journey through hell and purgatory into paradise. Tours are free for students aged 18 and younger and the required number of adult chaperones (one for each 10 students) who will gain insights of both art and literature through this exciting tale of an epic heros encounters with saints, sinners and mythical monsters. A $5 admission fee will be charged for all other adult visitors. The maximum number of tour participants is 90 at any single time. The exhibition is most interesting and appropriate for adults and students who are in middle school, high school or college. Docents at the Museum of Art are also available to guide individuals or small groups by request.
The exhibition is open through Sunday, Nov. 25 on Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. 5 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 - 5 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
