Leah Goldberg: An Evening of Film and Poetry February 12, 2013

Israel’s most beloved poet invented herself from the ashes of World War I through her magical poetry. Yair Qedar’s film The Five Houses of Leah Goldberg is a cinematic fantasy which uses animation, after-effects and more to explore its enigmatic subject. Prior to the film screening, translator and poet Annie Kantar will discuss Goldberg's life and work and read from With This Night, the first English translation of Goldberg’s final collection of poetry.
