How f*ck*d up and funky can American politics get? See for yourself in the next monthly Ironweed film night. Watch 3 award-winning, short docs about:
- an unblinking look at 2004 election day in a poor town in the contested Ohio Presidential election
- a whacked mayoral campaign in urban NJ
- a former US Vice President laying down some funky beats in the name of voter education.

The League of Pissed Off Voters and Station 40 co-op present a free monthly film night. On the last Wednesday of every month, we'll watch and discuss indie films collected by Ironweed Film Club that deal with progressive political issues in powerful and entertaining documentaries, animation and shorts.

This month's short films:
Street Fight ? An Oscar-nominated doc about a bare-knuckle mayoral campaign in the housing projects of Newark, NJ. A political machine, smear campaigns, charges of not being "really black," and a Yale grad living in public housing to keep it real ? all make appearances in this insightful film about how democracy, power, and race play out in urban American politics.
No Umbrella - An unblinking look at 2004 Election Day failures in one of the poorest towns in the most hotly contested state.
Battleground Minnesorta ? US politicians, including a former VP, lay down some funky beats in the name of voter education.
