“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.”
Henry David Thoreau
Through meditation practice, learn to quiet and control your mind instead of your mind controlling you. Mindfully create a shift in the way you see and experience the world. Learn to live consciously. Experience absolute stillness.
“Meditation is hard”, “I’m not good at meditation”. Pssssssttttt: here’s a secret… Meditation is hard for most everyone. But like all things, it takes time and effort (and patience and compassion with yourself). You can’t get a PhD or even a black belt (or learn to sit in full lotus) in a day can you? (Unless you’re in the Matrix). What makes you think you meditation should be any different. Like all things in life, it takes time and effort (and compassion and patience with yourself). It’s a journey and the benefits along the way are delicious!
Come for an evening of meditation and discussions of mindfulness and spiritual topics. Beginners always welcome and encouraged.
What to Bring: A desire for greater happiness in your life and a willing heart, an empty cup and an open hand.
Classes are free.
The meeting room is in the Bank of America office building upstairs. Enter through the doors to the right of the ATMs and come up the stairs on the right
