Laurie Lewis is the winner of two International Bluegrass Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year awards. In 1999, she released her classic album, 'Laurie Lewis & Her Bluegrass Pals.' Now the singer, songwriter, fiddler and guitarist has a new bluegrass release titled 'Skippin' and Flyin',' which is a tribute to Bill Monroe, aka the Father of Bluegrass. It recaps many of his best-known and sometimes obscure songs. It is deep, intimate and personal, honoring the spirit of the man as much as his music.
