After a successful start to her career with the solo album "Portable Me," Lauren Joy moved to Fort Collins in the fall of 2006. She soon met local musician Mason Bassuk, and Lauren Joy Music turned into a unique duet: a superb acoustic singer/songwriter accompanied by a high-energy keyboard and percussion player. Lauren has an amazing voice, and the two meld wonderful harmonies together... "Joy has a beautiful, distinctive, developed voice. She uses it well, and adapts it to her material... sounding whispery on some tracks, strong on others, and girlishly sweet elsewhere. Most importantly, Joy doesnt over-use her voice.
