Everyday, 15 people die from heart disease and stroke in Singapore. In 2011, the total number of deaths from cardiovascular disease is at 18,027, of which, 8,186 are women. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death globally and it is projected to remain so.
Kickstart your journey to good heart health at nex @ Serangoon, Atrium Level 1on Saturday and Sunday, 4 and 5 May 2013. Organised by Nestlé® Omega Plus® Acticol®, ‘Love Your Heart’ event is held in support of Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) Go Red for Women.
‘Love Your Heart’ event aims to create awareness amongst Singaporeans on the importance of good heart health and to encourage them to proactive in taking care of their hearts.
Activities at the launch include heart health education talks, free heart health checks and consultation, active lifestyle activities, and recruitment for the ‘Love Your Heart’ Run, which is the culminating event happening on 18 August 2013. As part of Nestlé’s effort to support SHF’s initiatives, Nestlé plans to donate the total mileage clocked (translated into a value) by the public on a treadmill.
The first 200 people to register for the ‘Love Your Heart’ Run from 1pm on Saturday, 4 May 2013, will walk away with a FREE Nestlé Omega thermal flask.
