Dance the night away to live Afro- Cuban band ARMANDITO Y SU TROVASON (NSW) a traditional seven piece Latin band featuring Cuban trumpeter Armando Garcia Perez. On stage, the band is characterised by a high energy, distinctively Cuban sound that blends traditional Cuban music with gifted improvisation. They spontaneously adapt the music to the audience which makes it impossible not to become involved. The addition of sophisticated vocal harmonies and dynamics creates a truly distinctive, fresh and exuberant sound. The band's repertoire includes all the popular Latin rhythms of Cuba, ranging from traditional to modern styles, like Son, Rumba, Conga, ChaChaCha, Bolero, Mambo and Salsa.

Spectacular dance shows by authentic Cuban dancers ISRAEL ORTIZ & MAY RODRIGUEZ (QLD). Born in Santiago de Cuba, Israel has been dancing practically all of his life. He first went to a specialised dance school at the age of 11 and went on to graduate from the National School of Art in Havana. Upon graduating, he worked for 2 different modern dance companies in Cuba before winning a position in the dance spectacular ‘Havana Night’. He travelled the world with this company, performing in more than 9 countries throughout Asia and Europe, before settling in Australia in 2003.

Also born in Santiago de Cuba, Maygualida was a dancer in one of the most well-known Folkoric Dance Companies in Cuba. Maygualida settled in Australia 7 years ago and since has been involved in many dance projects in Queensland and in other parts of Australia. She dances from the heart and has become recognised for her unique style of dancing here in Brisbane.
