In Carmen Rivera's award-winning play, Lena is sent to her grandmother's house in Puerto Rico for the summer. Always at odds, the two come to an understanding under the ominous specter of the mango tree that can't be chopped down, forever bears "poisonous" mangoes and holds many mysteries. Carmen is an OBIE-award winning playwright and a teaching artist at The City College of New York City.
