Last Supper Drama March 20, 2011

Make your Lenten observance more meaningful by attending a performance of the Last Supper Drama, as presented by the men of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church at Ackley United Methodist Church, 416 Hardin Street, Ackley, 7 p.m. on March 20.
This drama, based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s well-known painting, shows the disciples of Jesus Christ around the table after Jesus announces that one of them will betray him, to which the disciples talk about their association with Jesus Christ and ask, “Is it I?”.
To get to Ackley United Methodist Church, take US 20 to Highway S56 (Exit 181). Go north to 2nd Avenue and turn west. The church should be on the northwest corner of 2nd Avenue and Hardin Street.
This season marks the 42nd season for the drama, which is presented by the men of the West
Des Moines United Church. The drama has been presented over 200 venues around the state such as the Iowa State Center, as far away as Nashville, TN and even on television. About 20 individuals are involved with the presentation of the drama each year.
