Last Supper Drama March 29, 2013

Witness the moving and enlightening performance of the living tableau drama The Last Supper at 7 p.m., Friday, March 29, at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3600 75th Street, Urbandale, Iowa.
The performance, based on Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, will involve the disciples talking about their roles after they have been told that one of them will betray Jesus Christ. Each disciple will conclude his talk by asking “Is it I?”
The performance is presented by the West Des Moines United Methodist Church.
Fifteen actors are involved in this year’s performance. Other performances this season have taken place in Des Moines and West Des Moines. This is the 44th season for the Last Supper Drama; highlights of previous seasons include performances at Hilton Coliseum in Ames and in Nashville, Tennessee.
To get to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, take Interstates-35/80 to the Douglas Avenue exit and go east. Go to 75th Street and turn south. Aldersgate is on the west side of 75th Street between Dennis and Wilden Drives.
