Dan is a versatile, multi talented comedian. He's a stand up comic who headlines comedy clubs in Canada and the U.S. ; a character and sketch performer who has trained and performed with Second City in Toronto; an improviser; a musician; and he can even put on a tuxedo and gorilla mask and do a little soft shoe. He's been described as smart, yet silly, with an engaging performing style that appeals to all types of audiences.
Perhaps Dan's crowning achievement to date has been Mel Silverback. Dan created and embodies the character Mel Silverback - a tuxedo clad, old-time Catskills mountain gorilla stand- up comic with an edge, who tells it like it is. Mel was a crowd favorite on last season's Last Comic Standing.
