The Las Cruces Museum of Art is currently seeking art instructors to teach classes on drawing, painting, ceramics, digital photography, weaving, and other media. Interested artists must be proficient in their chosen discipline. All positions are contingent upon funding and successful completion of background check and drug screening. No telephone calls please. Interested applicants should submit samples of their artwork, a resume, list of references, and a class description/ teaching proposal to: Education Department, Las Cruces Museum of Art, PO Box 20000, Las Cruces, NM 88004. Art instruction proposals are due Friday, June 12th.
The Museum is also seeking artist proposals for exhibitions to be presented during 2010. Artists living and working in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas are eligible to submit. Proposal packages must include a brief statement of proposed exhibit, artist resume, a CD and thumbnail page with 10-20 images of works, and a non-refundable $30 submission fee made payable to the “City of Las Cruces.” Packages will not be returned to artists unless accompanied by SASE. Submit packages to: Museum of Art, Attn: Curator, PO Box 20000, Las Cruces, NM 88004. Proposals for solo and group exhibitions are due Friday, June 19th.
